The town centres largest event of the year with a procession of floats lasting all evening. A major spectacle, with collections for charity. The town is full of people and there is a great atmosphere. .. ..The Most Spectacular Illuminated Carnival in the World... Get here early, access to the town gets slow because of the number of people. Further details, times, etc., from Glastonbury TIC. No charge so please give generously to the good causes that the Carnival supports. Note that the town centres main roads are closed from afternoon until after the event, and the Bypass is closed from midnight of Friday until midday Sunday for parking of the floats.
